We want you to feel confident ordering from American Record Company. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help and will always do our best to make things right within the guidelines below.
30-Day Returns
We offer a 30-day return window starting from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a return:

Items must be unused and in the same condition as received

Items must include original packaging, tags, and inserts

A receipt or proof of purchase is required
- Due to the nature of recorded media, opened or unsealed vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes are only eligible for return if defective.
Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees

Damaged or defective items:
We’ll provide a prepaid return shipping label. -
Change-of-mind or unwanted items:
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. -
Restocking fee:
Depending on the circumstances of the return, a restocking fee of up to 15% may apply. -
Item condition:
Items returned incomplete or in unsellable condition may be subject to a partial refund.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If you receive:

Format Confirmation (Vinyl, CD, Cassette, etc.)
All product formats are clearly listed:
If an item is not the format you intended:

Return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund

Non-Returnable Items
Some items are not eligible for return, including:

Electronics
Electronics are covered by our 30-day return window. After that period:

All electronics are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty

We cannot accept returns for defective electronics beyond 30 days
For issues after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer directly using the warranty information provided with your product.
Exchanges
The quickest way to get the item you want is to:

Submit a return request for the original item

Place a new order once the return is approved
Exchanges or replacements will not be sent until the original item has been received and processed.
International Orders
Due to the high cost of international shipping:

International orders are not eligible for returns or exchanges

All international purchases are considered final and delivered AS IS
If you discover a defective disc within sealed packaging, please contact us and we’ll do our best to reach a fair solution.
If an international package is lost after entering the shipping carrier’s system, we can file a claim, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement from the carrier.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status.
If approved:

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. In some cases, store credit may be offered as an alternative.

Processing times vary by bank or credit card issuer
- Please allow 3-5 business days after the carrier has delivered your return to us for refunds to be processed on our end
Fair Use Policy
We reserve the right to deny return requests if we believe the return process is being abused.
